Swim With Phyn focuses on "learning through play", which allows for children to be successful while playing games, completing challenges and bonding with caregivers. At Swim With Phyn, we believe that children learn best when they are taught with love and positive encouragement, and when they are allowed to make choices and participate in the learning process.
Each lesson is a structured 30 minutes - allowing for significant skill building, without the risk of boredom. From day one, the focus is on repetition, consistency and making "safe choices" in and around the water. Only one lesson is taught in the facility at a time - allowing for minimal distractions and maximum learning.
Julie (Phyn) has been specializing teaching babies and very young children how to swim for over 20 years. Swim With Phyn is a proud member of the US Swim School Association and instructors regularly attend conferences to make sure that our curriculum is the most up to date and effective.
What makes us different?
Swim With Phyn, is a small owner-operated swim school. We have only one lesson happening at a time in our warm, indoor pool. Our instructors are experts in swimming with babies and each have over 20 years experience working with small children. We believe that this makes for the most learning conducive for little ones to learn and feel comfortable in the water. All of our lessons are taught by either Julie or Bridget, so your little one can get to know them and understand what to expect from each lesson. Routine, consistency and an intimate setting.

Our hours vary based on when we have lessons. During the week, M-F, most lessons are between 3pm and 7pm. Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays we have lessons 8 or 9am-noon.

The pool is indoor and kept at, or very near, 92 degrees. This makes it more comfortable and also more fun on rainy days and in the evenings, it also has the added benefit of complete UV protection - no sunscreen needed during lessons!
The chlorine level is kept as low as possible, monitored and adjusted mutiple times per day, to make it easier on little eyes.
The play area makes it easy to entertain before, (siblings) during and after swim lessons. However, remember siblings need to be supervised.
Parking is typically available on the street. Across the street, at the Community West Bank parking lot, there are now designated PUBLIC parking spots 24/7. This is a great option if you are having a hard time finding street parking.
